VITO FAQ

arguments for VITO in comparison to chemical filtration additives

- Easy handling with VITO - You can do something else while the VITO is filtering - safety with VITO, you don't get in touch in hot oil and don't have to drain the oil - with additives you have to use the correct amount for filtration -> mistakes can happen - VITO is very small and handy, takes only little space in the kitchen- VITO can be easily cleaned in the sink or the dishwasher- With VITO you can do an easy filtration also between services, as the oil remains hot in the fryer - With VITO you are not interrupting the operation on the fryer - With the purchase of additives you have running costs

Why is the measurement with the oiltester before and after the VITO filtration different/ higher?

- Important to note is that the VITO is not recycling the oil (not decreasing the quality measurement). What Vito is doing, by filtering the oil on a daily basis and by removing the particles, the oil doesn't turn bad that quickly. It still breaks down, but due to the filtration this process is slowed down as the particles are not burning in the oil anymore - For the tester this means, it shows the red light not after 3 days for example, but after 5, so you gain additional oil life through the filtration - A before and after measurement does not give you a representative result - And on a side note: in order to receive accurate measurement results with the tester, the oil should be calm for…

Can the oiltester be used a second time after the filtration?

Yes, but the result will either be the same or even a higher value. Why? VITO does not recycle the oil from old to new, but slows down the break down process of the oil, so it has to be changed at a later point in time and we gain additional days of oil life. Why possibly higher after the filtration? Comparable to a resting pulse => All of the oil was moved around the fryer during filtration, therefore your pulse after running is higher than your resting pulse and is not a representative measurement.

We have an integrated oil filter system in place, why would I need VITO in addition?

VITO filters with pressure while integrated systems work just with gravity. VITO filters continuously by pumping the oil through the filter several times while the integrated filter systems pumps the oil right back into the fryer after filtration. This allows the VITO to filter much finer particles. That results by combination of both systems in 30% additional oil cost savings and higher food quality.
