VITO even pulls up most of the crumbs from the bottom of the fryer and filters them out accordingly. Important is a regular filtration. If the fryer is very deep, there may be some particles remaining at the bottom. They don't harm the oil or the products, as they are not burning in the frying zone.

Certainly not, the heating elements remain in the fryer. Fine nets inside of the fryer should be removed for best filtration performance.

You will know the particle filter is full when the "VITO effect" becomes significantly weaker, and there is little to no movement in the fryer.
